KINOCUS
Privacy Policy
Effective date: 8 September 2026 Last updated: 8 September 2026
1. Data controller
KINOCUS is provided by Sergio Callarelli, which is also the developer name listed on the stores (“we”, “us”, or the “Data Controller”).
For privacy questions: privacy@kinocus.com.
For application support: support@kinocus.com.
2. Scope of this policy
This policy describes data processing in connection with the KINOCUS mobile application, the https://kinocus.com website, and support requests voluntarily sent to us.
KINOCUS is a bimanual coordination and skill game. It is not a medical device, does not provide diagnosis or treatment, and makes no medical or cognitive improvement claims.
3. Data processed by the application
The version of KINOCUS described by this policy:
- does not require an account;
- does not collect or transmit personal or device data to the Data Controller;
- does not integrate advertising, profiling, tracking, or remote analytics;
- does not use advertising identifiers or persistent installation identifiers;
- does not access location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, health data, or other personal device resources;
- does not require an Internet connection to play.
The application processes and stores only the information required for its operation on the device, including:
- level progress and unlocked content;
- scores, personal bests, and run summaries;
- the selected Skin and Skin unlock state;
- language preference;
- audio, haptic feedback, and visual-effect settings.
This information is not sent to our servers. The operating system may include it in a device backup or restore it to a new device according to the user's Apple or Google account settings. These backups are managed by the platform provider and are not accessible to the Data Controller.
Data handled by app stores
Apple and Google independently process the data required to operate their stores, deliver downloads, and handle any purchase under their own policies. They may also provide the Data Controller with aggregated statistics and diagnostic data subject to the user's choices and platform privacy thresholds. KINOCUS does not use those services to create an in-app account, profile users, or add proprietary analytics.
4. Device permissions and features
On Android, KINOCUS requests only vibration permission for haptic feedback. On iOS, it uses the platform's standard audio and haptic capabilities. Audio and haptic feedback can be disabled independently in the application settings.
The application does not record sound and does not use the microphone.
5. Voluntary result sharing
When the user selects “Share”, KINOCUS prepares result text and, when available, a result image, then opens the operating system's share sheet. Nothing is shared until the user personally chooses an application, service, or recipient.
Any subsequent processing is performed by the service selected by the user under that service's terms and privacy policy. KINOCUS does not receive the list of recipients or a copy of the messages sent.
6. Support requests
If a user contacts us by email, we may receive the email address, any name they provide, the message content, and attachments they choose to send. Users should not send sensitive or unnecessary information.
We use this data only to respond, diagnose the issue, prevent abuse, and keep a record of the request. The legal basis is taking steps at the user's request and, where applicable, our legitimate interest in providing support and protecting the service.
Support communications are deleted when no longer needed and in any event no later than 12 months after the request is closed, unless longer retention is required by law or necessary to establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim.
7. Website, cookies, and technical logs
The KINOCUS website does not use accounts, profiling forms, advertising cookies, analytics tools, or fonts loaded from external services.
The website is hosted by Cloudflare, which operates a globally distributed network. We operate no application server and create no proprietary application logs. To deliver and protect the website, Cloudflare may process IP address, request date and time, requested page, user agent, and diagnostic data. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the website available and secure. Cloudflare processes this data under its own policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
The @kinocus.com addresses also use Cloudflare Email Routing, which forwards messages to the mailbox provider selected by the Data Controller. The message and its metadata may therefore be processed by Cloudflare and the destination mailbox provider solely to route, protect, and deliver the communication.
If analytics, non-essential cookies, contact forms, or a newsletter are added in the future, this policy and any required consent mechanism will be updated before they are enabled.
8. Data disclosure and sale
We do not sell personal data. The current application does not disclose data to the Data Controller and does not share data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics providers.
Data voluntarily sent to support may be processed by Cloudflare for routing and by the mailbox provider selected by the Data Controller, only as needed to deliver, protect, and manage the communication.
9. International transfers
The current application does not transfer personal data away from the device. The website and incoming email use Cloudflare services over a global network, so technical request data and messages may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Cloudflare includes the European Commission's standard contractual clauses in its Data Data Processing Addendum. The destination mailbox provider may make further transfers under its own policy and applicable safeguards.
10. Retention and deletion of local data
Progress and preferences remain on the device until the user clears the application data or uninstalls KINOCUS. An operating-system backup may retain a copy according to the user's settings.
KINOCUS has no accounts or proprietary cloud storage, so there is no remote account to delete. To reset local data, users can use the application-management features provided by their device. Current instructions are available at https://kinocus.com/support.
11. Data subject rights
Depending on applicable law, users may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection regarding their personal data, and to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. In Italy, the competent authority is the Italian Data Protection Authority.
Because the application sends us no data and uses no accounts, we generally cannot identify or retrieve a particular user's local data. Requests regarding data voluntarily sent to support may be submitted to privacy@kinocus.com. We may request only the information needed to locate the communication and verify the request.
12. Children
KINOCUS is a general-audience game and is not specifically directed to children. The application does not knowingly collect children's personal data. A minor who needs support should ask a parent or guardian to contact us without including unnecessary information.
Store age-band selections and regional ratings are determined through the platforms' official questionnaires and do not replace this policy.
13. Security
Keeping progress and preferences only on the device reduces the amount of data exposed. We use reasonable safeguards for any support communications and limit access to providers and people who need it.
No system is completely secure. Users should protect their devices and the Apple, Google, and email accounts they use for backups or communications.
14. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy before introducing material changes such as accounts, cloud synchronization, analytics, remote crash reporting, advertising, purchases, or online leaderboards. The updated version will state its effective date and be published at this same address.
